CHART STORY: IT'S STILL DANGEROUS

Big Loud/Republic’s Morgan Wallen extends his run at #1 on the HITS Top 50 to a seventh consecutive week—the most since Drake’s nine-week tenure in 2016 with Views. Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album posts 87k as it crosses 1m in year-to-date activity this week. The set’s 2021 total is three times greater than that of its closest competitor.

House Lipman continues its reign: Ariana Grande’s deluxe version of Positions moves the album up to #2 with 44k; Pop Smoke’s Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon (Victor Victor) follows at #3; and The Weeknd’s After Hours (XO) moves to #5, giving Republic the entire Top 3 and four of the Top 5.

Emerging rap star Lil Durk holds steady at #4 with the year’s second-biggest album so far, The Voice (Alamo/Geffen/Interscope).

More deluxe and special-package offerings land in the Top 10: BTS’s BE (Big Hit/Columbia) leaps to #7, propelled by a limited-edition physical album, and Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia (Warner) stays strong following last week’s add-on of the deluxe Moonlight Edition.

Epic’s GIVĒON makes his debut in the Top 50 with the Grammy-nominated Take Time at #33, as does CJ with his debut EP, Loyalty Over Royalty (Warner), which arrives at #44.

UMG holds a 59% marketshare, SME takes 21%, WMG 19% and the rest 1%.

Streeting this week are projects from Legacy's Willie Nelson and Epic’s Madison Beer and deluxe albums from RCA’s Bryson Tiller, Parkwood/Columbia’s Chloe x Halle and Reprise’s Josh Groban.
