Global Citizen has launched a yearlong campaign to end COVID-19 and kickstart a global recovery. Billie Eilish, the Jonas Brothers and H.E.R. are among the artists involved.
Aside from solving the problem of the pandemic, Recovery Plan for the World aims to end the hunger crisis, restart schooling, protect the planet and advance equity for all.
Tentpole projects include a global broadcast special airing in May and Global Citizen Live in September. Talent committed to supporting the campaign includes Coldplay, Femi Kuti, Hugh Jackman, Idris and Sabrina Elba, Lang Lang, Lars Ulrich, Miley Cyrus, SuperM and Usher.
Last year, Global Citizen’s One World: Together at Home attracted more than 300m viewers worldwide and raised $127.9m to support frontline healthcare workers.
