On Tuesday evening, 2/23, City of Hope's Music, Film & Entertainment Industry Future Hope Committee will host a virtual live chat with Loud Records founder Steve Rifkind (Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep, Three Six Mafia, Akon) moderated by Full Stop's Damien Smith (Anderson .Paak, 070 Shake, Rei Ami). Rifkind kicks off Future Hope's 2021 Speaker Series at 5pm PT. The event, presented by 10K Projects, is open to the public. A $25 donation is suggested to support COH's mission to eliminate cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases.
Rifkind and Smith will discuss the dynamics of the music industry and how to empower artists as entrepreneurs.
“Future Hope’s Speaker Series has become a flagship event, raising more than $130,000 for City of Hope. While we miss being able to host these intimate fireside chats in person, moving to digital has allowed us the opportunity to extend invites to students and young music professionals from all over the country, giving them the opportunity to learn and hear stories from industry veterans like Steve and Damien, all while raising money for an amazing cause,” said Warner Records VP of Marketing and Future Hope Speaker Series co-founder TJ Landig.
The production is also presented by Warner Records, RCA Records, Milk & Honey, the Gang, Tyre, Ramer, Brown & Passman Charitable Foundation and Work of Art.
