YouTube Originals, in partnership with Google Arts & Culture, D+D, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, the Howard University Graduate Film Program and NAL Media, has unveiled lineup additions to its Black Renaissance special.
Stacey Abrams, H.E.R., Anderson .Paak, Kelly Rowland, Bob the Drag Queen and Ziwe Fumudoh will appear with previously announced guests Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Jason Reynolds, Killer Mike, Desus Nice & The Kid Mero, Jemele Hill, Shantell Martin and Tobe Nwigwe.
Also participating are Maurice Harris, Yung BBQ, Nicole Byer, TwinsthenewTrend, Sherrie Silver, Oumi Janta, Donté Colley and Hollywood Movement.
As part of YouTube’s Black History Month observations, Black Renaissance will advance the mission of the #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund, celebrating the historic contributions of the Black creatives, makers and artists who've fueled change while honoring the next generation of Black voices. The special premieres on 2/26 on the YouTube Originals Channel.
Black Renaissance is executive produced by Reynolds, Leah Harper Lane and Guy Carrington and co-executive produced by Kristen Wong, Dave Schilling and Clover Hope, with Pauli Lovejoy serving as music director.
