TMZ VIDEO LEADS TO BANS ON WALLEN (UPDATE)

Cumulus Media, iHeartMedia, Spotify and Apple Music have removed Morgan Wallen’s music from popular playlists following the release of a video of the country star using a racial slur.

Big Loud has suspended his record contract "indefinitely," according to a curt announcement, and Republic has added its support of that decision, declaring, "Such behavior will not be tolerated."

Cumulus ordered the removal of Wallen’s songs from more than 400 stations’ playlists. Likewise, Spotify’s Hot Country Songs and Apple Music’s Today’s Country no longer feature Wallen.

iHeartMedia, Entercom, Beasley and TNN Radio followed Cumulus' lead this morning by removing all Wallen content from radio stations and digital services. CMT, too, is in the process of clearing its offerings of Wallen material. It's also been reported that he's been dropped by agency WME.

TMZ posted footage—shot by a neighbor—of Wallen outside his home after a night of partying with friends. In the clip, the seemingly intoxicated artist can be heard yelling, “Take care of this pussy-ass motherfucker. Take care of this pussy-ass n–––.”

Following the posting of the video, Wallen issued a statement, saying: “I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”

Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album remains #1 at iTunes and #2 at Apple Music.
