Veteran entertainment lawyer Michael Rexford has joined King, Holmes, Paterno & Soriano as a partner.
Rexford has earned industrywide respect during a career focused on representing creative talent and companies, with clients including songwriters, artists, publishers, producers, managers, music executives and labels, as well as models and fashion designers.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the Berklee College of Music and his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Rexford comes to the firm from Manatt, Phelps and Phillips, where he was a partner in the music department and VP of Business Affairs at UMPG, where he provided business and legal advice to the company and handled companywide deal-making and met business and legal needs.
Said Managing Partner Howard King, “Michael significantly enhances our firm’s entertainment practice by expanding our clientele and providing mentoring for our lawyers and paralegals to perform at their very best.”
Rexford’s first order of business at his new gig will involve a crash course in Peter Paterno’s signature comedy stylings.
