SONY CRATE-DIGS FOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Sony Music's hip-hop and R&B catalog division, This Is Certified, has partnered with BET Digital to launch a four-part series, My Black Is, for Black History Month. Each week will feature new playlists and visual content.

The first installment of the series, My Black Is Power, premieres today (2/1) and will be followed by My Black Is Love, My Black Is History (celebrating the classics of hip-hop, R&B and jazz) and My Black Is Culture (a look at younger artists and evolving Black culture).

Later this week, My Black Is Power will unveil a new animated video for “I Am the Greatest," the title track from Muhammad Ali’s Grammy-nominated spoken-word album released in August 1963.

My Black Is Love will commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Fugees' The Score and unveil the official "Killing Me Softly" music video, unavailable in the U.S. since The Score's release; My Black Is History will premiere a new animated video for Sly & the Family Stone's "Everyday People”; and My Black Is Culture will see new episodes of My Life in 60 Seconds, the first with Chloe x Halle, followed by one with Miguel.
