Warner Music Group catalog guru David Woirhaye is moving to Warner Chappell Music as EVP and Global CFO.
Woirhaye will provide financial guidance and support to maximize growth globally. He’ll report to Guy Moot, Co-Chair and CEO, and Carianne Marshall, Co-Chair and COO.
“As we continue to grow our global business and find new opportunities to super-serve our songwriters, David's background and deep knowledge of the music industry and catalog management will be a huge asset for us,” said Moot and Marshall in a joint statement.
Woirhaye joined Warner Music Group in 2005 and has spent the last five years as SVP/CFO, Rhino Entertainment and Global Catalog Management at WMG. He defended Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” in federal court and has supported the catalogs of such artists as Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, The Grateful Dead, The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac.
In his role as CFO at Rhino, Woirhaye helped steer the company through thorny deal negotiations and established a strong financial infrastructure.
