CLOHERTY AND TIERNEY REUNITE AT AMAZON MUSIC

Mike Tierney has named Tracy Cloherty the U.S. Head of Programming for Amazon Music, based in Manhattan. The two radio vets got to know each other in 1990 while driving the Hot 97 van on the streets of NYC and were reunited in 2007, when Tracy was the PD at Alt powerhouse WXRK and Mike served as her MD.

“Tracy’s one of the smartest programmers I know, with a deep passion for music and a tenacious will to win,” Tierney raved. “I’m excited to have her expertise and vision on the team of Amazon Music, as our customers continue to move faster and our programming continues to evolve.”

Said Cloherty, an avid diver, “It’s an honor to join the Amazon family; now, Alexa, order me a new drysuit.”
