It’s Dave Grohl’s 52nd birthday and he’s celebrating by dropping another Foo Fighters song and performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The new track, "Waiting on a War,” is the second song released from the Foos’ album Medicine at Midnight (Roswell Records/RCA), which drops on 2/5. The band will perform it on Kimmel tonight.
Grohl explained the impetus of the song: “Last fall, as I was driving my daughter to school, she turned to me and asked, ‘Daddy, is there going to be a war?’ My heart sank as I realized that she was now living under the same dark cloud that I had felt 40 years ago. I wrote ‘Waiting on a War’ that day."
