"OLD TOWN ROAD" MAKES HISTORY, AGAIN

Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road–Remix" f/Billy Ray Cyrus has officially been certified 14x platinum by the RIAA, becoming the most certified song in history.

Released in 2019 via Columbia, the viral anthem emerged as the year's biggest song, topping the Hot 100 for a record-setting 19 consecutive weeks. It also blazed a trail for multi-platform viral success, crossing over from TikTok sensation to chart explosion. "Road" snagged two Grammys for the Atlanta rapper: Pop Duo/Group Performance and Music Video. It was also nominated for Record of the Year. Lil Nas earned additional noms for Album, Best New Artist and and Best Rap/Sung Performance (for follow-up hit "Panini").

Interestingly, Ron Perry looks more western than ever, not only because he wears his snakeskin suit around the house but because his hair now fully resembles a tumbleweed.
