GEFFEN'S OLIVIA RODRIGO ON A SPRINT (UPDATE)

Newly signed Geffen artist Olivia Rodrigo topped charts with her debut single, "Drivers License"—in its opening weekend, the 17-year old Disney star's new track hit #1 on Apple Music, iTunes and Spotify U.S. It was added to Today's Top Hits on Saturday leading to 2.7m streams, a 170% increase from Friday and the most single-day streams for a song on Spotify this year (U.S).

Rodrigo is the star of the original Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. She performed on the soundtrack to the hit show before releasing her first solo outing yesterday.

"Drivers License" was co-written and produced by Daniel Nigro, who recently delivered Conan Gray's debut album, Kid Krow, and can claim credits with Ashe, FINNEAS, Freya Ridings and Carly Rae Jepsen, among others.
