BOWIE & TIKTOK: LET ALL THE CHILDREN BOOGIE

In honor of David Bowie’s 74th birthday, his estate has made his music available on TikTok with an account in Bowie’s memory launched in partnership with Warner Music Group and Sony Music.

The rock icon's TikTok channel, @DavidBowie, features videos of his innovation and reinvention across more than five decades.

Name-checking "Starman," from The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, TikTok will launch its TheStarman hashtag challenge on Sunday (1/10), the fifth anniversary of Bowie's death, inviting the TikTok community to celebrate his life and work via new video creations.

"Bowie," TikTok Head of U.K. Music Operations Paul Hourican said, “remains one of the most influential and acclaimed artists of all time, and his music has defined multiple generations and cultural moments. We know the excitement our community will find discovering his music and creating using the indisputable Bowie sound.”
