Halsey is stepping into 2021 with her best look yet; the Capitol hitmaker is gearing up to launch her new cosmetic line, about-face, on 1/25 with products for the face, lips and eyes, as well as limited-edition cosmetic bags and tools.
A self-taught makeup artist, Halsey has formulated about-face as a vegan, cruelty-free line. With prices ranging from $17 to $32, the direct-to-consumer collection brings highly pigmented shadows and long-wear formulas to meet bold individualism, inclusivity, acceptance, experimentation and the democratization of beauty for multiple identities.
"Makeup is an art and art is about happy accidents, not any one ideal of perfection,” said Halsey, who is the company’s founder and CCO. “I always feel the most free when I am creating looks without following any rules. The beauty industry has norms, but I want to encourage people to challenge those standards and allow things to be imperfect and fun.”
Last year the multiplatinum artist saw her 2019 album, Manic, certified platinum. She debuted a book of poetry, I Would Leave Me If I Could, in November, becoming a New York Times best-selling author.
About-face products will be available starting 1/25 here and through an exclusive yearlong partnership with Ipsy. The company will launch its Anti-Valentine’s Day limited-edition matte lip array next month.
