Mixtapes, deluxe packages and multiple projects defined the year. Naturally, the leaders on our 2020 Most Streamed Artists chart produced plenty of content to keep their fans engaged.
OVO/Republic streaming king Drake reigns with more than 5.6b streams. Along with his 2018 blockbuster, Scorpion—which remained in the HITS Top 50 week after week and racked up nearly 1b audio-on-demand streams in 2020 alone—Drake's summer mixtape, Dark Lane Demo Tapes, kept his fans fed, and achieved platinum status.
Grade A/Interscope's Juice WRLD is 2020's second-biggest streamer, anchored by his posthumous album, Legends Never Die, which was the second-biggest debut of the year, amassing 497k units. His previous albums Goodbye & Good Riddance and Death Race for Love also resided in the Top 40 album chart. Juice is the only artist besides Drake with more than 5b streams in 2020.
YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Lil Uzi Vert, Pop Smoke and Taylor Swift, who all issued multiple albums this year, land in the Top 10.
