RIAA WRAPS UP 2020

Despite the lockdowns, bans on public gatherings and no photo ops, the RIAA was able to award 21 albums and 123 songs released this year with gold and platinum honors.

The RIAA released its year-end stats today, crowning Lil Baby’s My Turn (QC/Motown/Capitol) as the top album and Future f/Drake’s “Life is Good” (Epic/Freebandz) the year’s top single.

There were seven platinum album awards handed out—Halsey’s Manic (Captiol), Justin Bieber’s Changes (Def Jam) and Taylor Swift’s folklore (Republic) were among the titles honored.

Only one 2020 country album went platinum: Sam Hunt’s Southside (MCA Nashville) and Bieber was the only artist with two multiplatinum singles.
