We’re always in the mood for some Beatles news, and today’s tidbit comes from a film-editing room in New Zealand, courtesy of director Peter Jackson.
Jackson has supplied “a montage” from the 56 hours of unreleased Beatles footage shot during the Let It Be sessions to provide “a taste of the spirit” of the documentary he is making about the Fab Four’s waning days. COVID-19 laid waste to plans to release it this year.
So whether you’re grooving to the just-released McCartney III or Ringo’s “Here’s to the Nights,” mourning 40 years without John or commemorating the 49th anniversary of the release of Concert for Bangladesh, take a break to enjoy “Get Back,” the Abbey Road studios and the four guys who changed the world.
