S-CURVE BOOMS WITH "BANG!"

It's only fitting that after Steve Greenberg celebrated the 20th anniversary of S-Curve—hosting a marathon Zoom session during which the proverbial dogs were "let out"—his label would achieve one of its biggest success stories of the last two decades.

Alt-pop brothers AJR have landed a career-changing smash with "Bang!," which is #1 on Shazam, has topped iTunes multiple times and continues its ascent as 2021 nears. The group scored a major spot in Apple's holiday campaign and are planning an ambitious, Broadway-inspired concert livestream event on 12/26 (One Spectacular Night!). More big looks will be announced this season.

Ignited by promo hitters Lee Leipsner and Lori Anderson, "Bang!" has emerged as a multi-format monster. It's now #6 at Pop and Top 5 at Hot AC. It was the second-most-played song at Alternative this year. Not only has "Bang!" gone the distance, but there's still juice in the tank.

Add TikTok, along with major playlist adds at Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon Music, and S-Curve has checked every box with "Bang!" The success is particularly sweet for Greenberg, who's managed the AJR brothers from the start. The band's journey included a few stops at other labels, but it's Greenberg's S-Curve that gets to reap the benefits of all that tender loving care, as AJR solidify their rock-star status and boost their profile as bona fide hitmakers.

Greenberg commented, "AJR continues to write amazing songs and when you do that, there’s always the possibility of a break-out hit. Couple that with a phenomenal promotion effort at three different formats: Ronny Gutfreund, Karen Glauber and Ted Volk led the charge at Alternative, Lori Anderson at Hot AC and Lee Leipsner at Pop, and of course Scott Finck and his incredible Hollywood Records staff—not to mention S-Curve's marketing genius, Milo Pacheco. It was everybody working in unison that resulted in one of the biggest hits of the year. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to bring the dogs back in."
