Superstars Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande sit atop Spotify's monthly listeners ranking at #1 and #2, respectively. Increased activity for the pair also marks the first time two artists can simultaneously claim more than 70m monthly listeners.

Moreover, Bieber just earned the most monthly listeners ever for an artist on Spotify, with 73.77m. 

The Scooter Braun-repped stars have had a very active second half of the year. Bieber issued two new singles, "Holy" and "Lonely," plus "Monster," his collaboration with Shawn Mendes, and Grande dropped her chart-topping sixth studio album, Positions, led by #1 single "positions."
