Yungblud is heading toward his first #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums midweeks with Weird! (Polydor) leading the way by 11,000 sales. Over on singles, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” (Columbia) could finally hit the top of the chart 26 years after its release.

Arctic MonkeysLive at the Royal Albert Hall (Domino) is new at #2 on albums today followed by the first solo album in 13 years from Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones, Don’t Let the Devil Take Another Day (Parlophone), at #4. Shawn Mendes closes out the Top 5 with Wonder (EMI).

Michael Buble’s Christmas (Reprise) travels forward two places to #7, while another festive collection on the rise is Jamie Cullum’s The Pianoman at Christmas (Island), which rises to a new peak of #12.

Over on singles, Carey leads the chart today by a margin of 1,300 sales over Wham!’s “Last Christmas” (Epic). Jess Glynne’s cover of Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas”— released as part of the Amazon Originals series–flies up 25 places to #3, while another track from the series, Justin Bieber’s take on “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” is up 16 places to #5.
