Apple Music has revealed its Top 25 songs, albums, lyrics and Shazams for the year. Roddy Ricch is #1 on both Top 25 Songs of 2020 and Top 25 Albums of 2020.
The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" comes in second on Top 25 Songs, trailing Ricch's "The Box" in streams. While "Lights" was the second-most-streamed song, it actually had the most listeners globally. It reached #1 on Apple Music in 67 countries and was Shazamed 17.5m times, the third-most this year.
The second-most-streamed album was Lil Baby's My Turn (QC/Motown/Capitol), which landed four songs on the year-end Top 100, along with summer anthem "The Bigger Picture."
Pop Smoke follows at #3 on the Top 25 Albums of 2020, with the second-half giant Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon (Victor Victor/Republic).
Summer Walker had the biggest album by a female artist on the platform in 2020, with her dominant R&B set Over It (LVRN/Interscope), which came in at #5 on the album chart.
Also noteworthy: Drake, Rod Wave and DaBaby were the only acts with two albums in the Top 25; Luke Combs' What You See Is What You Get (River House/Columbia Nashville) was the only country album to crack the Top 25; 2018 standout albums Scorpion (Drake) and ASTROWORLD (Travis Scott) are holding strong in the Top 20.
