GRANT GETS SVP STRIPES AT DEF JAM

Def Jam has elevated biz veteran Marcus Grant to SVP, Digital Commerce. In his senior executive role, Grant will continue to focus on streaming strategy, consumption growth and marketing opportunities. He will report to SVP, Commerce and Digital Marketing Theda Sandiford.

Throughout his career, Grant has worked with some of the biggest names in pop, hip-hop and R&B. As a manager he oversaw the careers of Brandy, Big Boi, Kelly Rowland and 112, among others. In 2016 he began his tenure as VP, Digital Commerce at Def Jam.

"Marcus is an incredible executive," said Sandiford. "The professionalism, experience, strategic thinking, unparalleled relationships and all-around acumen he brings to the job every day is just inspiring. Grant will now enter the senior-executive bracket of Def Jam Verzuz, where he is scheduled to battle Isaacson on Zoom. The winner will take on their co-worker Jeezy.
