Darkroom founder/CEO Justin Lubliner has inked Irish singer/songwriter Cian Ducrot to Darkroom/Interscope. The 22-year-old classically trained artist joins a roster that includes Billie Eilish, Gryffin and Oliver Malcolm.
Raised in Cork and now based in London and Los Angeles, Ducrot writes and produces all of his own music. He earned two music scholarships: one at Wells Cathedral school in Somerset and another at London's prestigious Royal Academy of Music.
Ducrot dropped out of school, however, to pursue his dream of becoming a recording artist. After spending time in L.A. at a writing camp, he was discovered by Lubliner and the Darkroom team, who were slayed.
"Cian is a remarkable and unique talent," Lubliner affirmed. "We're so ecstatic to launch his amazing new project next year."
Check out Ducrot's single "fucked up all the time" here. Fucked up only some of the time are Lubliner (top left in Zoom screenshot below), Ducrot (top right), Darkroom's Emmett Power and Layne Cooperstein (middle) and Ducrot's manager, Victoria de Juniac (bottom).
