Lil Nas X is playing Santa Claus for Amazon Music’s first series of holiday specials, ringing in the Christmas season with Miley Cyrus, Foo Fighters and Kiana Ledé. Amazon Music Holiday Plays premieres 12/1; a new episode debuts every Tuesday at 8pm ET through 12/15.
Cyrus kicks off the series on 12/1 with her first performance since the release of Plastic Hearts (RCA). Besides playing host, Columbia’s Lil Nas X will deliver the world-premiere live performance of his new single, “HOLIDAY.”
The 12/8 edition will feature Republic’s Ledé performing her breakout single “Ex,” “Plenty More” and “Second Chances,” plus the holiday classic “The Christmas Song,” a studio version of which can be streamed exclusively on Amazon Music.
Dip into the eggnog with Foo Fighters on 12/15 as they play songs from throughout their 25-year career, new single “Shame Shame” (Roswell/RCA) and a cover of Chuck Berry’s “Run Rudolph Run.”
Each show will feature handcrafted stage designs curated by the artist, hydraulic snow machines, backstage ballyhoo, multiple costume changes and Q&As with Lil Nas X. The rapper has created a set that’s “going to take everyone on a wild ride through a futuristic North Pole." "It’s going to be amazing," he promised.
