Michael Jackson tops Forbes’ annual list of dead celebrities, having taken in a cool $48m during the 12-month period ending 10/1/20. “Jackson’s Mijac Music catalog, which includes tunes by Elvis and Aretha Franklin, and a long-term deal with Sony, account for more than 70% of his earnings,” reads the explanatory copy.
MJ’s tally is $15m greater than that of runner-up Dr. Seuss. Kudos to estate co-executor John Branca, who dropped a very large dime once again on behalf of his late client.
