Primary Wave Music Publishing has struck a partnership with Olivia Newton-John that includes the catalog of masters and publishing assets owned by the singer.
The deal extends to her hits "Physical," "I Honestly Love You," "Please Mr. Please" and "Have You Never Been Mellow," as well as some of her songs from Grease and Xanadu, among them "Hopelessly Devoted to You" and "Magic."
Newton-John and Primary Wave's executive team will collaborate on expanding her work to even wider audiences via the pubco’s marketing, branding, Broadway, Film/TV and digital-strategy teams, as well as their licensing and synch departments.
"I'm excited about this partnership with Primary Wave as it will not only help introduce my music to new generations but also enable us to create wonderful projects and opportunities for my longtime fans to enjoy while also bringing them new music," Newton-John said.
To commemorate the pact, the following people staged an impromptu, socially distanced production of Grease: PW prez Justin Shukat, manager Mark Hartley, Newton-John, PW Chief Marketing Officer Adam Lowenberg, CEO Larry Mestel and Newton-John's husband, John Easterling.
