Merch from Universal Music Group is heading to China via a new deal between Bravado and the Alibaba Group. A Bravado store will launch today on Tmall Global, the largest cross-border B2C marketplace in China.

Taylor Swift’s folklore merch will be making its Chinese debut on 10/28, with her newest collection available starting 11/11 exclusively during Alibaba’s two-week Global Shopping Festival. Tupac, Guns N’ Roses, The Rolling Stones and Bob Marley are among the initial artists represented; other collections and collaborations will be added each month.

“At Bravado our mission is to amplify artist initiatives and create moments and experiences beyond music,” Bravado GM and CFO John Habbouch said. “This partnership with Tmall Global, in conjunction with our colleagues at Universal Music China, will provide both international and domestic artists with opportunities to engage more deeply with fans in China and to continue to reach new consumers and audiences around the world.”

In addition to merchandise and exclusive designer collaborations, the store will showcase a different featured artist each month, offering a specially selected range of products inspired and influenced by each featured act. These will include new and exclusive items and seasonal offerings to coincide with album releases, tours, classic catalogs and product innovations. Swift's is the first outing to emerge from the pact.
