U.K.MIDWEEKS: BRUCE TAKES A COMMANDING LEAD

Bruce Springsteen is leading the U.K.’s Official Albums midweek race, with Letter to You (Columbia) outselling the entire Top 5 combined. Over on singles, Ariana Grande is set for her seventh #1.

At the halfway point, Letter to You is the most-purchased album on physical and download formats, as well as the most-streamed new release of the week.

Gorillaz are new at #2 with Song Machine, Season One: Strange Times (Parlophone), followed by Nothing but ThievesMoral Panic (EMI) at #3.

Blossoms’ lockdown covers album, In Isolation (EMI), makes a strong start at #4, while dance legends Faithless’ first album in 10 years, All Blessed (BMG), enters at #5.

Other albums vying for the Top 10 include blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa’s Royal Tea (J&R Adventures) at #6, the anniversary album from tenor Russell Watson, 20 (UMG), at #7, and Off Off On (Rough Trade) from British folk-rock vocalist This Is The Kit at #9.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Grande’s “positions” (Island) is the most-streamed track of the week so far.

KSI f/Craig David and Digital Farm’s “Really Love” (Atlantic) follows at #2, while reigning #1, “Lemonade” (10K Projects), by Internet Money f/Don Toliver, Gunna & Nav, slides two places to #3.

Little Mix could be heading for their highest-charting single in two years as new track “Sweet Melody” (RCA), taken from their forthcoming sixth studio album, Confetti, opens at #4.
