LUKE DOMINATES EARLY WITH DELUXE

All-genre streaming superstar Luke Combs dropped the deluxe version of his album What You See Is What You Get (River House/Columbia Nashville) on 10/23. New single "Forever After All" immediately hit #1 on Apple Music, becoming the first country song to top Apple's all-genre streaming chart on its first day of release.

The album also zoomed to #1 at Apple Music.

Over at iTunes, Combs occupies five of the six top spots on the singles chart, including #1. Ariana Grande's "positions" is the only non-Combs track inside the Top 5.

Combs' deluxe package contains five new tracks, "Forever After All" among them. In a circumstance similar to what transpired with Morgan Wallen's "7 Summers," a snippet of "Forever" was teased on social media two months ago, which spurred the creation of more than 70k videos on TikTok ahead of release.

Combs was the first country artist to top the Apple Music album chart when What You See Is What You Get dropped in November 2019. It broke streaming records at Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple its opening week.

We crowned Combs country's streaming king last year, so we're not surprised that he'd become the first country act to top Apple Music's hip-hop-dominated chart.

Reignited chart supremacy and a potential country awards sweep — having won ACM Awards for Album and Male Artist, Combs is nominated for six CMA Awards — bodes well heading into Grammy season.
