Miley Cyrus’ seventh album, Plastic Hearts (RCA), will be released 11/27.
Cyrus had been working on the album for two years, then lost everything during the Malibu fire. As she writes in the letter below, “Luckily my collaborators still had most of the music that was burned up in journals and computers filled with songs for the EP series I was working on at the time. But it never felt right to release my ‘story’ (each record being a continual autobiography) with a huge chapter missing.”
Cyrus has released one of the album’s tracks—"Midnight Sky"—as well as live covers of Blondie's "Heart of Glass" and The Cranberries' "Zombie." Plastic Hearts includes 12 original songs.
