Bruce Springsteen delivers the goods this Flipover Friday as Letter to You opens at #1 on iTunes albums. Luke Combs’ deluxe edition of What You See Ain’t Always What You Got (River House/Sony Nashville) is showing up big in sales and streams.
The Combs album is #2 at iTunes and Apple Music while five of iTunes’ Top 6 songs are from the Combs set, the lone intruder being Ariana Grande’s “positions,” the title track from her upcoming Republic album. Combs’ “Forever After All” is #1 at Apple Music; “positions” sits at #10.
Back at iTunes albums, where the Top 10 is all new arrivals, Mat and Savanna Shaw’s self-released Picture This captures #3, Sevendust’s Blood & Stone (Rise) spills in at #4 and Blue October’s This is What I Live For (Up-Down Brando) checks in at #5.
Gorillaz’ collection Song Machine, Season One (Warners) fires up at #6, Smith & Myers’ Volume 2 (Atlantic) is #7, Kari Jobe’s The Blessing (Sparrow/CCMG) is anointed #8 and Joyner Lucas’ Evolution (Twenty Nine) is #9. Pearl Jam’s MTV Unplugged (MTV/Epic), a recording of their 1992 appearance on the show, arrives at #10.
