U.K. MIDWEEKS: VAMPS HEAD FOR #1

The Vamps are leading an all-new Top 5 on the U.K.’s Official Albums midweeks with Cherry Blossom (EMI). Over on singles, Headie One could score his first #1 with “Ain’t It Different” (Relentless).

Elsewhere on albums, Irish country singer Daniel O’Donnell currently sits at #2 with Daniel (DMG TV), followed by Katie Melua’s  Album No.8 (BMG) at #3.

The Struts start at #4 with Strange Days (Interscope), followed by the debut from BeabadoobeeFake it Flowers (Dirty Hit), at #5.

A deluxe edition of Tom Petty’s Wildflowers, Wildflowers & All The Rest (Warner Records), is on course for the Top 10 at #6, and EaglesLive From the Forum MMXVIII (Rhino) is #7. The National’s Matt Berninger could also earn a Top 10 placing for his debut solo album, Serpentine Prison (Concord), at #10.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, “Ain’t It Different” climbs up one to #1 following Headie One’s #1 debut album last week.

Internet Money f/GunnaDon Toliver & Nav’s “Lemonade”  (10K Projects) is also in the running for this week’s top spot, currently just 123 chart sales behind Headie One.

Miley Cyrus’ “Midnight Sky” (RCA) is, so far, up three places to #3, while Joel Corry f/MNEK ’s “Head & Heart”  (Atlantic) could return to the Top 10 following their performance on Strictly Come Dancing, currently back up 12 places to #5.

Two tracks could climb into the Top 10 this week: Sigala & James Arthur’s “Lasting Lover” (Ministry of Sound) is up six to #7, while Clean Bandit & Mabel f/24kGoldn’s “Tick Tock”  (Atlantic) rises four places #8.

Further down, two songs are on course to enter this week’s Top 20: Sam Smith’s “Diamonds” (Capitol) is up eight to #15, and Dua Lipa’s “Levitating” (Warner Records) rises six to #16.
