Word has it that the management derby for Red Hot Chili Peppers is done and that the band will be repped by Guy Oseary. Guy O, who also manages U2 and Madonna, goes way back with Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis. Contrary to some biz chatter, it’s said that former RHCP management Q Prime’s talks with supermarket magnate Ron Burkle—which could lead to a sale of the company—were not a factor in the band’s decision to leave. Indeed, it’s believed the band didn’t even know about the talks until they read the story in HITS. In related news, rumors that Guy O is being fitted for a very personal tube sock remain unconfirmed.
