KARMA COMES TO LOS ANGELES

British management company Karma Artists has landed in L.A. with the appointment of Anna Schlafer as it expands its operations in the US. She joins from Kobalt Music Publishing.

In her new role, Schlafer will work across the Karma Artists management and Karma Songs publishing rosters. Recent successes include writer and producer cuts on “Lighter” By Nathan Dawe and new albums from Keith Urban and Super M.

“With the current restrictions in place, Ross and I felt it was important to ensure Karma and its clients are fully represented in the U.S. and after working with Anna in her previous publishing role for many years, we feel she’s the perfect match to further grow both our management and publishing businesses there,” Karma Artists Director Jordan Jay said.

Schlafer spent the last 12 years at Kobalt, most recently as Senior Director of Creative. There, she signed and developed Rogèt Chahayed and his publishing company Tru Sauce Publishing, Nina Nesbitt, Ella Vos, Hanson, Stevie Aiello and others.
