Camille Hearst has joined Spotify as the Head of Spotify for Artists.
In the new role, she will be responsible for managing a cross-functional team including product, tech, design and user research. Based in New York, she reports to Charlie Hellman, VP, Head of Marketplace.
Hearst was most recently Head of Product, Creator & General Manager, Merch, at Patreon. She has also worked for YouTube and iTunes. With her Patreon background in particular, it's believed, she will be uniquely qualified to help Spotify's artists cultivate new revenue streams.
On the heels of the announcement, Spotify introduced Promo Cards, easily customizable graphics that be used to promote songs, an album or the artist. The site is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and German.
Exciting news! I’m joining Spotify as the Head of Spotify for Artists. In this new role, I’ll lead a big cross-functional team of product, tech, design, user research, and more.
