Def Jam R&B star and Grammy hopeful Jhenê Aiko took over NPR's Tiny Desk series with a special "Home" edition.
The sensual singer performed a career-spanning medley of eight songs, with tracks from her acclaimed 2020 album Chilombo, along with music from her debut LP Souled Out and her side project with Big Sean, Twenty88.
Additionally, Aiko has penned a new song for ABC’s Black-ish election special episode. Entitled “Vote,” the track arrives to streaming services on 10/3 ahead of one-hour Black-ish event airing on 10/4 at 10pm ET.
“Now more than ever it is vital that we all VOTE,” said Aiko. “It was an honor working with black-ish to bring you this song.”
Set your DVRs for Blackish and watch Aiko perform below, which she tops off by creating a sound bath with singing bowls. Who knew bowls were for singing and not smoking?
