BOCELLI'S BACK

Andrea Bocelli duets with Alison Krauss and Cecilia Bartoli and premieres a composition from the late Ennio Morricone on Believe, due 11/13 from Sugar/Decca.

Bocelli and Krauss perform “Amazing Grace,” the song that closed out his “Music for Hope” performance on Easter from the Duomo cathedral in Milan. The song by Morricone, a long-time collaborator of Bocelli's, is “Inno sussurato (Whispered Hymn).”

"The concept behind 'Believe' is based on three words: faith, hope and charity,” Bocelli says. “These are the three theological virtues of Christianity, yet—quite independently of any religious belief—they are also the three extraordinary keys to giving meaning and completeness to the lives of every one of us."

Co-produced by Steven Mercurio and Haydn Bendall, Believe is a collection of uplifting songs that have inspired and sustained Bocelli over the years, among them “Hallelujah,” “You'll Never Walk Alone,” “Ave Maria” and “Padre Nostro.”

“Angele Dei” is a recently discovered piece by Puccini, arranged by Michael Kaye. Originally written without lyrics, Bocelli asked for words of a prayer—addressed to a guardian angel—to be added.
