"VOTE 'EM OUT," SAYS WILLIE NELSON
Willie Nelson has a message—and a new song—for people fed up with incumbent politicians. His message: "Vote 'Em Out."
Written with and produced by longtime collaborator Buddy Cannon, Willie and his sons Lukas and Micah sing about the power of the people:
“If it’s a bunch of clowns you voted in
Election day is comin’ ‘round again
If you don’t like it now
If it’s more than you’ll allow
If you don't like who's in there
Vote 'em out...."
Nelson premiered the song two years ago at a rally in Austin for Beto O'Rourke who was then challenging Rafael “Ted” Cruz for the Texas U.S. Senate seat. He also performed the song, which Legacy released today along with an animated video, on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
On Saturday, Nelson will host the 35th edition of Farm Aid that can be seen on Farm Aid’s website or YouTube Channel, on cable's AXS TV or heard on satellite radio at SiriusXM on either the Willie’s Roadhouse (Ch. 30) or Dave Matthews Band (Ch. 30) channels.
