DEF JAM PROMOTES PUBLICITY EXECS

Def
Jam has announced three promotions within its Publicity team: Lauren Ceradini has been appointed SVP, Media and Artist Relations; Renata Muniz has been upped to VP; and Joanne Hunter is named Senior Director. The moves were announced Wednesday by EVP, Media and Artist Relations, Gabe Tesoriero.

Ceradini's background includes stints at Rogers & Cowan, Capitol Records and Epic Records, where she ascended to Head of PR and worked closely with Sade, the Estate of Michael Jackson and helped break Fifth Harmony. In her new role she will oversee Def Jam's Publicity activity on the West Coast.

Muniz started in Def Jam's publicity department in 2012 and was named Senior Director in 2018. She has overseen Alessia Cara's PR throughout her career, along with marquee artists Jhené Aiko and Teyana Taylor.

Hunter returns to Def Jam after a four-year term at Capitol. Her roster includes Big Sean, YG and rising rapper Bino Rideaux.

"It’s an honor to take the next step in my career at an iconic label like Def Jam," said Ceradini. "Gabe is truly a force in this business, and with so much exciting progress on the horizon for the label, and our roster of marquee stars and exciting emerging artists, I look forward to working with him, Jeff Harleston, Rich Isaacson and the entire team."

"Lauren is a dynamic, creative, absolute superstar executive and someone whose work I have always deeply admired." said Tesoriero. "Her skill set is unmatched, her relationships are impeccable, her experience and leadership are invaluable, and her addition to our team has immediately made its impact felt. Lauren takes us to another level, period."

Tesoriero added,"And stay away from Hollywood Blvd. Those HITS trolls are still lurking."
