BTS GETS REAL ON SPOTIFY’S FOR THE RECORD

Big Hit/Columbia's K-Pop wonders BTS have topped charts and broken streaming records with their latest single, “Dynamite.” Celebrating a record-setting 12.6m Spotify streams in the first 24 hours of the track’s release, BTS opened up in a new interview with Spotify's podcast, For the Record.

During the BTS: The Band, The Brand & The ARMY podcast episode, the supergroup discusses the success of “Dynamite,” the music making process, their appreciation for fans and how they want to be remembered for future generations.

“I think it appeals to and it's easy to listen to and it's easy to enjoy for anybody, anyone of any generation, anyone,” said SUGA about their first English-language single, which made BTS the first Korean artists to debut at #1 on Spotify’s Global Top 50 chart and has been added to 3.5m+ playlists across the platform.

On the topic of their music creation process, J-Hope said, “When we have a good result and when we see the result, we feel really proud and we get a real sense of accomplishment.” RM added, “It’s like making a puzzle when we make an album.”

When it comes to their loyal fanbase, who you might recall sabotaged Trump’s Tulsa Rally back in June, V shared, “I think the best part is 'ARMY.' They're the reason we perform. And it's their energy and their support that allows us to keep going.”

Additionally, Spotify spoke to TIME Magazine Editor and K-Pop enthusiast Kat Moon as well as superfans from around the globe like Gracie Ranan, Di Coke, Supriya Joshi and more.
