Will chatter over the new board game “Agent, Agent, Who’s Got Your Agent?” begin to simmer down soon? The latest well-placed rumor involves a top power-player agent who hasn’t signed his new deal yet—fueling speculation that more major changes could be in the offing at that leading agency. All this just after negotiations for Sam Kirby Yoh (Florence and the Machine, LCD Soundsytem, FKA Twigs, Alicia Keys) to stay at WME fell apart. The buzz is that she’s headed to UTA, but does Casey Wasserman have her in his sights as he works to rebuild Paradigm from the ground up? Wasserman is said to be on the trail of more than one top agent from WME, ICM and CAA.
Meanwhile, rumors are hot and heavy about one top ICM agent leaving to test the free-agency market. Is Cara Lewis considering bringing her stable of top clients (including Eminem, Travis Scott, Chance the Rapper and Lil Baby) into one of these other agencies? Is Casey coveting some of those top brands in his rebuild?
By the way, WTF happened to the deal between Casey and Paradigm’s Gores brothers for that quasi-merger/acquisition? How will this version of musical chairs finally play out? Stay tuned—it’s only Tuesday.
