ACM HANDS OUT A FEW AWARDS

The all-star rendition of the Elvin Bishop hit “Fooled Around And Fell In Love,” featuring Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris and others has won the ACM Award for Music Event of the Year. The Academy announced several other awards prior to Wednesday’s telecast.

Thomas Rhett takes home the Video of the Year Award for “Remember You Young” produced by Dan Atchison and directed by TK McKamy. Hillary Lindsey was announced as the ACM Songwriter of the Year.

Besides Lambert and Morris, Music Event of the Year winners are performers Ashley McBryde, Tenille Townes, Caylee Hammack and Elle King and producer Jay Joyce.

The Academy of Country Music also announced that show host Keith Urban and P!nk will deliver the world television premiere of their new single, “One Too Many,” on Wednesday’s telecast on CBS.

This year’s ACM Entertainer of the Year nominees Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Rhett and Carrie Underwood will kick off the 55th Academy Of Country Music Awards with a medley of each of their greatest hits.
