PEARL JAM ROCKS THE VOTE-BY-MAIL

With the presidential election approaching, Monkeywrench/Republic’s Pearl Jam has launched the PJ Votes 2020 initiative to get fans involved. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are asking their audience to accept what they're calling the Take-Three Pledge: “Vote by Mail, Recruit Three Friends and Don’t Wait.”

The band’s activism and political involvement dates back to the early ‘90s, when their free Drop in the Park concert in Seattle registered thousands of voters. “Your vote is your voice, and it’s time to use it. Join us by voting by mail—something our band has been doing for almost three decades, since we began touring in 1992. It’s safe, it’s easy, and it’s secure,” said Eddie Vedder.

In addition to the Take-Three Pledge initiative, the band is partnering with leading national organizations including People For the American Way, the League of Conservation Voters and select regional organizations like Make the Road Pennsylvania to promote voting by mail.

Get involved with the Take-Three Pledge by texting PJVotes to 52886 or visiting www.pearljam.com/vote. After completing the pledge, fans can pre-order Pearl Jam’s 1992 MTV Unplugged Session. Featuring songs from their debut album, Ten, the CD and LP are set for release on 10/23 and can be pre-ordered here.
