NEW RELEASES: NOW WITH EXTRA CAVEATS! (UPDATE)

Can Big Sean dethrone Taylor Swift for #1 on this week’s HITS Top 50? Or does Team Republic have something in their back pocket to secure her a seventh consecutive week at #1? The holiday weekend is delaying some reporting so please expect a greater than usual margin of error.

Big Sean (G.O.O.D./Def Jam) 100-110k total activity, 25-30k albums
6ix9ine (6ix9ine/Create) 40-50k, 11-15k
The Rolling Stones (Polydor) 20k

6ix9ine's debut studio set, Dummy Boy, was embroiled in a notorious Billboard chart kerfuffle in late 2018 that saw the Bible place it at #2 with 66k. We further note that Big Sean has five of the Top 20 tracks at Apple Music (with "Lithuania" f/Travis Scott at #8) and three tracks in the Top 25 at Spotify (not to mention eight in the Top 50). Sean's 2017 set, I Decided, bowed at #1 with 151k in total activity. Goat's Head Soup, a worldwide #1 nearly half a century ago, features the #1 smash single "Angie."

In a possibly related story, goat's head soup is now available via Postmates.
