2020 VMAS: WINNERS AND MOMENTS

Lady Gaga, BTS and Ariana Grande won three Moonmen each at Sunday's 2020 MTV VMAs, with The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" winning Video of the Year.

Lady Gaga took home Artist of the Year, while BTS won Best Group at ceremonies spread out around New York City, Los Angeles and South Korea.

The VMAs pushed “Blinding Lights” and Gaga & Grande’s “Rain on Me” into the Top 10 at iTunes songs, joining Miley Cyrus’ “Midnight Sky” and multiple versions of BTS’ “Dynamite.”

Main event:

The Weeknd opened the show with a performance of his smash single "Blinding Lights" (XO/Republic) from Edge at Hudson Yards—the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere—with the mesmerizing NYC skyline as the backdrop.

BLACKPINK win Song of the Summer for "How You Like That."

Interscope/SCMG star DaBaby performed a medley of songs from his album Blame It On Baby, including "Blind" and "ROCKSTAR." Watch it here.

Winner for Best Collaboration: Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande for "Rain on Me."

Miley Cyrus performed a visually-sharp rendition of her latest single "Midnight Sky," which featured a nod to her hit "Wrecking Ball."

Winner for Best Direction: Taylor Swift as a Director for her video "The Man."

Maluma performed "Hawai" live from a Brooklyn Drive-In theater. He won the Moonman for Best Latin immediately following the performance, for "Qué Pena" f/J Balvin.

Song of the Year goes to Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande for "Rain on Me."

Lady Gaga performed a medley of songs from Chromatica, including "911," "Rain on Me" with Ariana Grande and a live version of "Stupid Love."

BTS win their third Moonman of the night with Best Pop for "On."

The Weeknd wins Best R&B for "Blinding Lights" and in his acceptance speech only said "Justice for Jacob Blake. Justice for Breonna Taylor."
