CHANGES AT APA?

We’re hearing changes are afoot at APA where the agency is the latest to lay off employees. Is there a change at the top as well?

Steve Martin, the Co-Head of the Music Department for the last seven years, has left the company, insiders tell us. Martin has been with APA since late 2013 as Worldwide Music EVP, being promoted to partner in early 2015. His clients include David Gilmour, Fantastic Negrito and King Crimson.

Back in March, APA stated that it was furloughing employees to avoid layoffs. Among those furloughed was Social Distortion’s longtime agent Andy Sommer, who also reps Brian Wilson. APA’s extensive client roster includes Blondie, Cake and Ingrid Michaelson.
