BMLG chief Scott Borchetta decided his backyard pool area would be a suitscenic backdrop for this summertime shot commemorating the signing of Jackson Dean, who’s accompanied by TKO Artist Management's TK Kimbrell. Moments after the shutter clicked, Jackson exclaimed, “You best believe the freight train is comin’,” whereupon he executed a belly flop so forceful that it drenched his companions.
As he toweled off, Borchetta waved the other revelers into the frame, enthusing, “From the moment Jackson started playing for Allison Jones and me in our conference room, we were transported into his musical world. It may sound cliché to say that Jackson is very special—it isn’t—this is an important new artist, and this is serious business. Now, let's change into our Speedos and hit the swim-up bar—keeping six feet apart, of course.”
Gathered in the group photo below are (back row) BMLG’s Carly Strickland, WME's Austin Mullins and Jay Williams, BMLG’s Allison Jones and Darielle Schroeder and (front row) Little Louder Music's Arturo Buenahora, Kimbrell, Dean, Borchetta and the label’s Clay Hunnicutt.
