Lollapalooza has unveiled Lolla2020, a four-night broadcast event airing on YouTube beginning Thursday, 7/30 at 5pm CT. As the summer festival was supposed to take place this weekend, the livestream will serve as the digital event in its replacement.
Among the acts performing: Paul McCartney, Arcade Fire, Lorde, Metallica, The Cure, OutKast, LCD Soundsystem, Khalid, Tyler, The Creator, Chance The Rapper, Future, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, H.E.R., Gary Clark Jr. and many more.
Thursday's sets include Paul McCartney's full headlining set from 2015, LCD Soundsystem's full headlining set from 2016 and new sets from H.E.R., Scarypoolparty, Tom Morello and more. Catch Alabama Shakes and Run The Jewels' kickoff performances at 5pm CT here.
Insiders are saying this could be the first time in years that Lollapalooza has a discernible impact on streaming and sales; we'll be tracking the key artists and reporting on any observable "L Effect."
