Global pop icons BTS have announced they will release a new English-language single on 8/21 via Big Hit/Columbia. The song will be the first from a new album arriving this year, the group confirmed.
BTS revealed: "We have prepared a new single for ARMY, set for August 21. We are preparing an album for the second half of this year, but decided to first release a single because we wanted to reach our fans as soon as possible. Due to COVID-19, people around the world have been going through tough times and we wanted to share some positive energy with our fans."
The new single would be the first English-language BTS song since 2018'S "Waste It On Me" w/Steve Aoki. Although the group has collaborated with many English-speaking artists on singles, the tracks have been predominantly Korean. In July, they released a Japanese-language album, Map of the Soul: The Journey.
