Dua Lipa, Michael Kiwanuka and Stormzy are among the 12 nominees for The Mercury Prize. The winner will be announced 9/24.
This year’s Mercury Prize honors the best British album released between 7/20/19 and 7/17/20. Last year, Dave’s Psychodrama took home the prize. This year’s winner will receive a cash prize of £25,000.
Organizers say a live awards show will not be happening in September as planned. Among the judges are artists Jamie Cullum and Jorja Smith; Jeff Smith, Head of Music, 6 Music & Radio 2; and Will Hodgkinson, Chief Rock & Pop Critic, The Times.
